Christmas Comes Early at BookXcess

Well, after spending the RM10 voucher.....Mamarazzi saw in Facebook that BookXcess October shipment had arrived.

So many new and great books, especially children book. Hand start to be itchy.

 

Sorry ya...when Mamarazzi was at BookXcess, she didn't have time to snap photos of all the nice new books there. Books were flying off the shelves and everyone was trying to grab as many as they could. Saw a woman with a WHOLE BOX full of books and yet she asked from the staff for another box.

She managed to grab this box of wooden Jigsaw Puzzle for me. It's RM24-90 only. There are several other patterns too.

Lucky for me as Mamarazzi e-mailed Bookxcess to reserve this book for me coz by the time we arrived there, Mamarazzi can't see this book on the shelves. Not sure they still have stock or not.

Price RM29-90. Expensive? I say no. You know why?

It got lyrics of Christmas Song. Press a button and it will play the Christmas Song. After it finished playing the Christmas Song, there is a red light/dot to guide me note by note on how to play the song. Also for more advance kids, there are colourful musical notes there for them to follow and play. 

Good leh?

 

This round Mamarazzi kira "guai" already. She only bought two books for herself. 

Once she arrived home she started reading "The Lovely Bones". Hmmm...I wonder whether it's related to "Pai Kut" or "doggy bones" but Mamarazzi said no. It's a lovely sad story and she had reviewed the book in her blog.

Now she is reading the Betty Neels Christmas Treasures book.

Hmmm....Seems like BookXcess is preparing for Christmas early lor. Saw a lot of new arrivals with Chrismassy theme. There is an inspirational cute Christmas bear book costing RM9-90 that I wanted too but Mamarazzi said I have too many already. So she didn't get for me.

Wanna know the sad new? When she arrived home she saw BookXcess just updated more new delicious book in the Facebook ...sobs sobs.....

Strawberry and BookXcess Again.

 Mamarazzi got this Book Voucher from BookXcess during our 3rd time there in conjunction to their Malaysia Day celebration. Yup...Mamarazzi gone crazy. Went there 3 times! Didn't blog about the 3rd time coz sure someone out there would think we are ambassador of BX pulak.

 Then Auntie Cleff gave me this cute strawberry pulak.

 It unfolds into a shopping bag. Cute ah? Can shop for more books.

 Suppose to spend RM10 only but don't know how the thing seems to "beranak".

Mamarazzi got this lovely Inspector Singh book. Then she saw this Terracotta Warriors books pulak. It's none fiction. Seems interesting. Bought it lo. Hope it's good.

Then saw this "apple-tising" book titled "The Stepmother". Haven't read any of this author books before. Does she have other books? Entah-lah. Just grabbed.

Saw two Vikram Seth books titled "Two Lives". One was priced at RM24-90 and another was REM19-90. Needless to say which one Mamarazzi grabbed.

As Mamarazzi walking towards the counter, something caught her eyes. A lovely set of Pooh Bear books. RM24-90 only. She grabbed one set for me.

Celebrates Clean Bill of Health, Hari Raya and Malaysia Day At BookXcess

Just came from Sg Buloh Hospital. The Biopsy Report came out already. Mamarazzi's swollen Lymph Nodes was due to infection. Not Cancerous or anything. Thank God for that.

To celebrate, we headed to Amcorp Mall to eat Mamarazzi's favourite Prawn Noodles.


At Uncle Snack, 3rd Floor, Amcorp Mall we ordered big bowl of Prawn Noodle for Mamarazzi. Papa had Seafood Rice(Top right pic). Papa said it's not bad.

I had Ginger Beef Rice. Hmm...I makan the rice with gravy only. Didn't get to makan the beef. Papa and Mamarazzi walloped the beef. A bit tough. Maybe it's imported beef kot coz Raya coming. Local beef all habis gua.

I was impatient to get on with "Xcess"


Mamarazzi borong-ed a lot till I get to "dip-dip" their Lucky Draw twice.

First round Mamarazzi dipped. Fished out this great 20% discount Book Voucher in a Hari Raya Packet. A very good idea. Festive.


Mamarazzi used the voucher to get me this "Tiki" Mouse Clubhouse book". LOve the illustration.

Later when we were in the car, Mamarazzi regretted. Said should have used that voucher to buy "The Completely Mad" by Don Martin which was going for RM99-90.

Mamarazzi was very attracted by the collection and Papa too.


The 2nd round "dip-dip" was by me. I "dip" out two "green packets". But the Mamarazzi said I can only choose one. Gave one to the Jie Jie at the counter.


Wa...it's a book. I won a book title The Lady Who Was Beautiful Inside. Hmm..I wonder whether she is as beautiful as my dear or not. No...you can't hold it. I am keeping this book. It's mine.


Here is Mamarazzi's hoard. All are RM9-90 books, except for the "horsey" book. The Horsey book was RM3.


Hardcover of Agatha Christie RM19-90 each. One is Hercule Poirot and the other is Miss Marple


Beh tahan..Mamarazzi bought another one of Nicholas Sparks book though the "Dear John" book was not that good.

Two more Asian writers books. Hope they are good.

Mamarazzi just finished reading "Six Suspects" by Vikas Swarup. Very good book. Mamarazzi was in Seventh Heaven when she saw that BookXcess have "Slumdog Millionaire" in their stock. Grabbed.

Another hardcover story book for me. This one even comes with 200 pieces of stickers!

Last but not least. My "dip". Here is the beautiful book. Hardcover. Inspirational book for people who feel inferior about their look.

Oh...gosh...what a lovely trip.

BookXcess-2nd Round

As in James Bond Movie "The World is Not Enough"...Mamarazzi pulak "3 Bags Full Is Not Enough". Went to  BookXcess 3rd Anniversary Promotion for the 2nd round, this afternoon. Alamak..I meant yesterday afternoon. Now, past midnight already.

 Anyone spotted me there? Sitting at the Counter? Like Mascot pulak tu.

Mamarazzi "borong-ing" mode again. After "borong", she asked this lovely Jie Jie to help and wrap some of the books as it's intended as gifts.

I also "copied" what the Jie-jie did.

This round, Mamarazzi remembered not only to write greetings for BookXcess 3rd Anniversary Cake but also remember to check out the Magazine section.

Hmmm...no crowd there as most are at the Bargain bins.

Mamarazzi took the chance to grab some Archie's and Jughead comics at their "Buy 5 Free 1" offer. So happy as normally it would have been Buy 10 Free 1.

More books from then Bargain bin. Jangan jealous. The King Kong book, hardcover was selling at RM3 only.

Mamarazzi saw "The Lost Labyrinth" going for RM9-90. Read from the cover, say "If you like Dan Brown. you will like Will Adams". Apa lagi, Mamarazzi grabbed la. She loves Dan Brown books.

Also she grabbed two more children books for me. One of it is book about Pirate. Haiz...I can hear the Little Bird chirping away now. Must be knocking her head for not spotting this book.

I love this book. Not only because it have lovely illustration but also because it comes with a telescope.

BookXcess 3rd Anniversary Promotion

Three bags full. 

Went to BookXcess for it's 3rd Anniversary Promotion at 10 a.m. Not many people were there when we arrived. But when we left at 11.30a.m, there was quite a crowd. 

Not only have human. A "vampire" was there also. The "Vampire" also braved the crowd and the daylight in order to grab some great bargain books. Never fear,  this "Vampire" won't suck blood one. Just need to be fed Fried Beehoon and Leong Sui will make her happy

And of course, I took the chance to claim my prize from the BookXcess Blog Bonanza . Two Little Miss/Mr Book

I wanted to choose the "Love is Forever" by Jean Ure. But Mamarazzi said I can only choose Little Miss and Little Mr books as my prize .

 

So I choose these two books loh. Nice hor?

Syoknya, "reading" my new book. Wokay la...not reading la as I don't know how to read yet. Looking at the lovely illustration can gua.

Mamarazzi bought Paddington Bear Book and Neil Gaiman Book for me. Hardcover book leh. There is a 30% discount on these books and price shown are before discount.

RM3 books. Hardcover with pretty illustration in it. Mana nak dapat lagi oh....even printing of this book cost more than that gua?

These puzzle and games books cost RM4-90 each only, except for "My Little Pony" at RM7-90.

Uncle Patrick loves Sudoku. I don't know what is that, but I like to makan Duku. Managed to grab some of these "duku" for Uncle Patrick. RM3 each.

Kids books at RM3/per. Grabbed two for Kor Kor Jon and Baby Isaac. The RM1 book is for Mamarazzi. Haiz...typical "kiasu".

More of RM3 books grabbed from the Bargain Bin. Wow!! Really cheap leh.

One hamsap book. RM9 only wor. It's a 2-in-1 book written by the famous Jackie Collins. Must grab leh.

After grabbing so many books, Mamarazzi went to the Customer Service Counter to get the books that she had Reserved Online. Again typical "kiasu" mah. She saw these books listed as available for 30% discount in BookXcess blog the other day. She cepat-cepat e-mail and ask BookXcess to reserve for her lo. Scared people grabbed everything wor.

Mamarazzi thought after grabbing so many books, the total damage would have been exceeding RM200. Thus eligible for the extra RM20 vouchers.

*sigh*...mana tau at the Cashier, the total damaged was only RM175-55. Alamak! so near yet so far. The Cashier suggested that he hold the bill for Mamarazzi first while she went and search for more books.

Jeng~jeng~jeng~ These books that made up RM200.

 

 Who thought up this idea ah? Put the Gift Vouchers into beautiful handmade envelope and present it to the customers. Genius stroke. Mamarazzi really felt like a VIP when they gave her this envelope.
