This is not Dan Neh Neh. Papa say bring me to Dan Neh Noh geh. I slept in the car. When I woke up, I was here pulak.
Came out of the Lift, saw this. Mamarazzi snapped a photo. Mana tau this photo turn out to be a historical photo for me.
Okay...back to the story. We were at Paylessbooks Warehouse Sale @ YMCA Brickfield. And it's going on from 3rd September 2010 to 5th September 2010. (Note to SK : still have time to go)
Hmm....something different. Now the price for Best Selling Author Paperback Fiction have increased. Mamarazzi browsed thru the titles. Not really "new" and "updated" titles.
Nevertheless, I managed to grab some books. Sat at a corner "pretending" to sort books like what Mamarazzi used to do.
This round, nothing much. Mamarazzi managed to grabbed two sets of the RM12 for 5 books. Among it is "Superman III". You can guess this book is for who.
Also managed to dig up these two books. Bought solely due to the usual name of the authors.Labels: warehouse sale-books
Yesterday morning we arrived at Amcorp Mall "Seven early eight early". Why? Still remember Mamarazzi's post on BookXcess Spring Cleaning? That's why loh. BookXcess Spring Cleaning, we kutip loh. Win-win situation.
Still early. BookXcess no open yet. Still time for breakfast. Ate at the "Mamak shop"at Lower Ground. I heard that there is a Flea Market at Amcorp Mall every weekend. Hope no fleas will attach itself to me. So far, I didn't see and Fleas. Only many people opening stall like at Pasar Malam selling all sorts of things.
Finally it's time to start "digging" at Bookxcess. Many books on sale. Can't see much of RM3 books. Must've been "sapu-ed" by the early birds. Still many RM5 and RM9.90 books to choose from. Quite a lot of Romance selling at RM5, RM6.90 and RM9-90. Mamarazzi saw a Barbara Taylor Bradford (large print) going for RM9-90 only!
Mamarazzi managed to grab 3 only of this hardcover Fifi and The Flower Tots Stories and Activities Book. Another Malay lady sapu-ed a whole bunch of them. None left.
Check out the John Irving. It's Hardcover some more! Alamak! should have grab one for Uncle Newton. Mana nak dapat brand new hardcover John Irving book at RM9-90?
All these are new authors to Mamarazzi except for Meg Hutchinson. Love stories. Usually Mamarrazi hardly buy any love stories but beh tahan la. All selling at RM5 each wor!. And the Meg Hutchinson and Joan Jonker books are Hardcover. How to tahan?
Don't ask me why Mamarazzi grab two of this Sindbad book. Kiasu kot? Coz so cheap leh. Only RM3 each. *Pengsan*.Labels: bookxcess , warehouse sale-books

Went to Cari Makan last night. A bit too early. Thus, decided to visit the newly open Sunway Giza.
Surprised to see that TIMES Bookstore having Clearance Sale there. Details as follows :
Date : 11-28 Feb 2010
Venue : 1st Flr Sunway Giza,Kota Damansara
Time : 11am to 9pm
Mamarazzi's hoard? Just a few books. Not much "appetite" as most are repeated books from previous sale and the price were not that cheap. Those RM10 for 3 and RM30 for 3 were all jumble up with the rests of the books. Needs a lot of digging.
What was I doing while Mamarazzi was busy digging? I had 1901 Hot Dog.
YOH! Auntie Cynthia..today is 19TH!!

I "seludup"one home under my shirt. Maybe the "egg" will hatch into a Century Chicken...

All RM8/book except Amanda Quick at RM5. But the Cashier wrongly charge as RM8. Nevermind la, since Mamarazzi had saved a lot from her purchases and the staffs there were very nice.
Anoher batch of RM8/per book. Notice that Mamarazzi seems to be buying a lot of fiction books?
These two also RM8/book and what's more is that the Shanghai Tango by Jin Xing is a signed copy. I wonder how BBWB managed to get it? Tabik!
This is also RM8 and frankly speaking, Mamarazzi bought it due to it's cute cover. And yup, Mamarazzi receiived the comomerative book mark.
After going for the sale, she went to BookXcess to get the books that Uncle Newton had kindly pre-order for her.
Yes, The Cecelia Ahern book. Then Kaw Kaw LC recommended Chris Manby "The Matchbreaker". RM19-90 only. Hardcover some more!
The Beijing Coma is from BBWBS RM8 and The Associate is from BookXcess at RM24-90.Labels: bookxcess , warehouse sale-books
The Star Newspaper reported a large crowd attending the sale. Read here. And we are one of those who made up the crowd. By 9.30a.m. ,people are waiting outside for the sale to begin
The staffs checking everything and putting the final touch on. There are a lot of books. Neatly arranged. Looked very spacious hor? But once the crowds are in, the place is packed like a can of Sardine. Barely any room for maneuvering.
The books are well categorised. Large sign pasted on the wall to identify where each type of books are located. This the Non-Fiction side.
Despite everything, the staffs managed to control the crowd well. Staffs were placed at the entrance directing "traffic" and helping the crowd to get boxes for their books.
What was I doing while Mamarazzi gone hunting? I was having a great time at McDonald Restaurant.
Here are two of Mamarazzi best pals from primary school who came for the sale after being informed by Mamarazzi. Two more of Mamarazzi's friends from school time also came for the sale but they were busy book hunting while we were taking photos.Labels: bookxcess , warehouse sale-books
