She was so engrossed with this book. About a solo bicycle voyage from the Pacific Rim to Vietnam. Andrew is a Vietnamese-American man who is in search of his family past and current life.
His father was a prisoner after the retreat of the Americans soldiers from Vietnam. He nearly died in prison but due to his mother giving a lot of bribe to the Official, the father was released.
Subsequently they managed to escape from Vietnam thru a small boat. The journey was horrible. The boat nearly sank. They were rescued by an Indonesian vessel. Somehow they managed to get to America and become its citizen.
Life was hard then. There was once his father beat his sister, Chi, for disobeying his order. The sister landed in foster care but she ran away.
Only in recent year the sister came back but she is a he now. He committed suicide. This made Andrew re-think life.
He made a daring decision to tour Vietnam with his trusty bicycle.
Many adventures. Some are mean whereby they view people like him(Viet-kiu =foreign Vietnamese) as "waterfish". They tried to cheat him at every turn. Bus ticket, train tickets and accomodation was charged much higher. Some wanted to beat him up for in their view he had deserted Vietnam. However, some were very kind. Taking him into their home when he was too ill to go further. Letting him ride illegally in a train though if caught they would be in very big trouble.
Overall, it's a very good book to read. Thanks a lot to Uncle Newton for lending it to Mamarazzi.

Loh Mai Farn
I am very worried. I can sense that I'll be Guinea Pig again. Mamarazzi is making Loh Mai Farn again. Attempting to duplicate the taste as Ijok Beggar Chicken Rice. Hmm...I thought mamarazzi had blogged about it but seems no. Nevermind, next time la. The next time we go Ijok then will snap the photos.
What's in Mamarazzi's Loh Mai Farn? Similar to the last time Loh Mai Kai but this time the ingredient is really "fung fu lor". Mushroom, scallop, lap cheong, dried oyster, dried har mai, chicken meat, pork meat and last but not least...Loh Mai la..kakaka... Wanna eat?

Botak Head Again
Botak head again. It was my 3rd time going to the barber. I hate that buzzing sound. I kick up a big fuss when they tried to put me on the chair. But the Papa sat down and the barber trim his hair. Papa very brave. He never cry.
When Papa is done, it was my turn pulak. This time I never cry nor kick up a fuss. Nevertheless, it was still an uncomfortable experience.

*Scratch*scratch* What am I going to do? The BIG BAD WOLF is coming to town. Must find more space. Space for me. *Mang Chang face* why aren't we home yet. I am tired of waiting. Waiting in the car, waiting in the shop, waiting the restaurant...and now another round of waiting ka? Where is this place?
Hailam Kopitiam. Mamarazzi don't know what to eat so just tembak eat here as it's on our way on also.
Who ordered Kari Mee? Night time eat Kari Mee not scared of indigestion ka? But on another note, the service is very fast and efficient.
Very crispy Fu Chuk on the top. There are Chicken Meat there. Taste good though a bit oily. RM7.20.
No eyes see.....Mamarazzi drinking Kopi O solate. Later cannot sleep cham loh.

Papa order some sort of Fried Noodle or something. It's Yellow Noodle. Fried like some sort of "Mun Yee Mee" style. Papa said taste okay though presentation not that nice. The vegetable is sweet. Forgot the price.

It's Chicken Hor Fun. Wah Lau Eh....Chicken not shredded leh. They put so much Chicken inside. Mamarazzi counted and found that there were 6 pieces. So generous ah? The Chicken very tasty but the Hor Fun so-so only. Not smooth enough. Price RM7-20.Oh ya...Mamarazzi requested me to ask about your experience when snapping photos of food when you were at a restaurant. Did you noticed the change of attitute of the restaurant owner and staffs? Mamarazzi sometimes feels that they are watching her as if she's been released from Tg. Rambutan Hospital and/or sometimes the service suddenly becomes better. Is she over sensitive?
Little Snow Boy
This is me two weeks ago at Bangsar Shopping Complex. This is the "saga" where I turn into as "snowboy" the next day.
Oh how true it is what Uncle Eugene posted a month ago (http://bold-talk.blogspot.com/2009/10/i-hate-these-words.html) Mamarazzi really hate those words now.
We had an appointment for dinner 7.30p.m. with some people. It was a Friday.
That afternoon, we had a few things to do and had initially planned to go home and change for the dinner. Unfortunately there were some delays thus we had to rush straight to BSC to be on time coz we know we stay faraway and that the traffic to there will be very bad.
Arrived a bit early and I had a Solivite. Uiks! that little boy is giving to thumbs up.
Hmm...thumbs up to my Solivite? Ya...it's GOOD!
Later we went into the Restaurant and wait. A couple came but we are still waiting for another couple. There the famous words "ON THE WAY" emerge again.Half an hour...."On The Way"
One hour..."very near....15 mins will arrive"
Another half hour......
Gua beh tahan liao. Ah choo choo-ing liao. Rushed here just to be on time and I didn't even have chance to change into warmer clothing. Washoping for a fast quick dinner and get home by my bedtime.
No repect for my time. Already know stay so far and heavy traffic jam expected...should have called and postphone or re-schedule the time ma. At least Papa can use the time to bring me home and change.
I got so pxxx-off and "Mang Chang". I made a lot of noise. We went off without waiting for the dinner.
Came home i was so exhausted that I slept tunggang terbalik.
That is how I end-up being a "snowboy". Woke up next morning with a terrible cold. Nose and eyes are like pipe bocor. Mamarazzi had to hang a towel around my neck.
Each time I sneeze, hingus comes out a lot and she wipe my nose with it. I ain't going for dinner with those guys anymore.
TMnet and Phone Line Down

Aiya...Heavy rain. Thunder. No DSL and Internet line on Modem. Plug in house phone no dial tone. Time to call TMNet People. Now where is the phone number for that. *searching*

TM : This is a service announcement*another 2mins*
TM: Good evening how may I assist you?
Mamarazzi : *Finally a human*. My phone line and internet line is down due to heavy storm.
TM: How may I address you, madam and can I have some verification. Username...
Mamarazzi :*give the necessary information*
TM: Please hold. *Music came on. Listened for another 5-6mins*. Thank you for your verification. How may i assist you?
Mamarazzi : *Duh? I've told you wat!* My phone line and internet Line is down due to heavy storm
TM: Is the DSL light blinking on your modem?
Mamarazzi : No DSL and Internet light on the modem. I plug in the phone also no dial tone. I think the phone line is down outside.
TM: What brand is your modem?
Mamarazzi: *huh?* Linksys
TM: Oh your own modem. Is your PC on. I need you to go to your PC to perform some tests
Mamarazzi: *WTF. My PC ok. It's the phone line and internet down * I've just off the PC
TM: I need you to on the PC to check. Is the internet down?
Mamarazzi: *GRRR!! this girl deaf or what?? The whole area phone line down. Internet is thru phone line ma. 1 + 1 = 11 ka??* Err...I need some time to on the PC. Could you call me back in 5 mins?
TM: I need you to do some test...I cannot call you back cause we cannot call out. Maybe you call back after you on your PC and our customer service will assist you.
Mamarazzi : okay thanks *hang up*
Bear in mind, none of this is TMnet's fault. It was stupid of Mamarazzi to call TMNet to report phone line and internet line down. Should have call the technical side. But aren't they linked? Laa....told the girl the phone line down, she still expect Mamarazzi to do the dignostic test on her PC ah? This girl betul betul STRAIGHT. A truly good and guai guai employee who truly expected Mamarazzi to perform everything in the her checklist before she would make a decision to listen to Mamarazzi that the internet is down due to the phone line down. Maybe I should marry her when I grow up since she is so guai. If I say ONE she sure won't dare to say TWO.
Did you ever encounter streamxy line down and when you call them up, it feels like they are putting you thru a checklist eventhough you already know what's the problem? Many times, after doing everything in the checklist, the line still down. The actual cause is the port at their side. They just need to reset the port, kau tim jor.
What happens next? Mamarazzi called the technical department. She was informed that all the phone line in this area is down. Will only be fix by 5pm 4th Nov. And the guy asked "Is your internet ok?"
This really made Mamarazzi seems red. And she vowed that she would write an e-mail to complaint on all the stupid questions asked. Wasting her $ calling them.
But the as of 7pm today, TM people from the Internet side called Mamarazzi up to inform her that the internet line is down due to phone line down, which due to faulty cable.*Duh! that is what Mamarazzi been trying to tell them yesterday!* Their technicians are trying to fix it and expected to be up by tomorrow evening *Duh! It takes 24hours for the news to be transmitted from Technical Dept to Internet line dept ka? . The guy was very apologetic.
All well that ends well. Both phone line and internet line are up by 11pm. Mamarazzi decided against writing a complaint letter since the guy was very apologetic and seems to have more brain that the other two. Instead she decided to vent her frustration here.
Restaurant Lai Yong, Subang Perdana

Fishes swimming here and there. Mamarazzi not feeling so well. Not cooking. Thus come to the nearby Lai Yong Restaurant for a simple dinner. This Restaurant seems changed a lot since the last time we've been here. When was that ah? I think I was just a few months old then. The staffs there recognised me but I can't recognise them.
Taufu with bit of mince meat. Nice presentation but portion a bit small. Aiyo...1 piece of taufu sliced into 4 quarters. To make the dish looked more ka? Less is more and more is less so = molest?? kekekeke
Lotus soup. Taste very nice. Boiled long enough. People say "enough fire". Just too bad that the lotus root itself become lembik like taufu. Otherwise it would be perfect.
Choi Tham. This one I like. though cut into 4 quarters again but the vegetable taste young.
Marmite Mantis Prawns. Mamarazzi complaint that it tasted too sweet while earlier on she said the taufu too salty.
But nevermind la. eat with rice should be just nice. I am hungry liao.

Mamarazzi saw that I love drinking fruit juice at the restaurants and she doesn't want me to drink that much of Nutrigen nor Ribena. Said fruit juice is better.
One morning she made starfruit juice for me.
This is my first time tasting Star Fruit Juice.

In this Restaurant, there is a very nice Chicken Rice Stall.
It's called Kee Kee Bentong Chicken Rice. You have probably heard of it if you stay/work around Kelana Jaya area.
I am very hungry. No more energy liao. Checkout the Lady Boss who is standing behind me. This round her hair is PINK. Previous was YELLOW.
This is the nice Chili + Ginger sauce
The free soup is self service.
Can take as much as you want. Today is Salted Vege with Chicken Feet Soup. Papa likes to eat the Chicken Feet. Sure to "cedok" a lot of Chicken Feet.
Hmm...yummy Chicken. Aiya....Mamarazzi baru know something. She commented that why the Chicken is cold geh? Chicken stay in Air-conditioned room ka? Then Papa told her that sometimes after they rebus the Chicken, they will put into cold water to make the meat taste nicer.
Gizzard. Nice big plate of Gizzard. Papa's favourite.
Skinny Taugeh but surprisingly very sweet. Portion for 1 person.
My first time drinking "Kat Chai Shuen Mui". Eee...sour sour eh. A satisfying lunch. Total RM26 for 3person +1 kid, not including drinks.
