Ikan Bakar Dataran Shah Bandar, Kuala Trengganu

My Yee Poh know a many Bazaar Ramadan. That evening we went to visit the nearest Bazaar Ramadan at Dataran Shah Bandar. Very smokey. Lotsa Satay, goreng-goreng, ayam guling, Keropok lekor, Ikan Bakar other goodies.



Mamarazzi fell in love. Not with this guy.But with the Ikan Bakar from this stall.


Very DELICIOUS looking and the smell simply smokey...hahaha...no la..it smells very good. There are many types of ikan bakar offered


Mamarazzi "chup" this one. It's called Ikan Barak. Not much bone and taste very good. Nearly every day Mamarazzi bought Ikan Bakar from this stall.



Udang Bakar. Price varies daily. On last Friday this platter of Udang was RM15.

Ketam Bakar

The sambal for this Ikan Bakar taste very good. Add with a bit of lime juice...yummy. Well, Mamarazzi did inquire whether they have permanent stall elsewhere after the Ramadan period. Too bad the Boss said they only during Ramadan month. Normal day, they are fishermen. Looks like Mamarazzi will have to wait till next year for Ikan Bakar again loh

Fireworks At Kong Kong's House

We went back to see Kong Kong and Mah Mah last week. It was also the final week of the puasa month. Very different from KL.

Every morning the Canon which is located in a hill behind Kong kong's house will go BOOM twice every morning to signal the start of fasting for the Muslim.

And in the evening, the "meriam' will go BOOM again to signal berbuka puasa. Kong Kong said this year is very different. This year on top of going BOOM, it was accompanied by fireworks. Here is a short video that Mamarazzi managed to capture during on evening.

Hasan's Rojak, SS2(In Front of Kings)

Papa felt like eating Indian Rojak. Heard that there is one nice Indian Rojak at SS2. In a van. Normally parked in front of King's Bakery opposite Eon Bank Bhd. Found this Rojak Hasan.


Very clean. Rojak biasa RM3-30 and Rojak Sotong RM4. And very sorry..no noodles.


Papa bought Rojak Sotong. Quite a big packet. Generous portion. Taste good. Just too bad that the goreng goreng things are not so crunchy anymore. Maybe due to we tapau home instead of eating there.

Ah Wang Bak Kut Teh, Old Klang Road

First and foremost, I would like to apologise for the poor quality of the photos. Surprisingly, Mamarazzi who is nuts about snapping my photos had forgotten to bring her trusty Canon Camera. Had to use her handset camera which is not so efficient in snapping nigh time photos.



Though Mamarazzi had explored this area during her school time, but she had never tried the BKT here before though many people said BKT at 4 1/2 mile Old Klang Road is very good.

So the night after borong things to balik kampung, Mamarazzi decided to try out BKT at 4 1/2, Old Klang Road. There are so many of them. Mamarazzi just "tembak" the one with the most people.

It's right opposite the 4 1/2 Wet Market and Post Office. If you are coming from OUG or Happy Garden, go slow when you are passing the wet market. Look out for this shop which is "under" the Highway bridge.




Hmm...so many people eating here. Hey..looks like they are famous for Steamed Fish too.


Every table is full up though it's Monday night. Yup..this shop/stall open on Monday too. According to the sign, it's open from 6 p.m to 4a.m.


As there were only the 3 of us, Mamarazzi ordered only BKT with extra Taufu Pok.

Taste? one glance the soup look too "clear" and not "pekat" enough. Surprisingly after tasting...cukup rasa pulak.

BKT 2 person - RM16
Taufu Pok - RM2
Yau Char Gwai - RM1.50
Rice - RM1 each

But one thing hor....they didn't put any mushroom or vegetables in the BKT. Kalau mau, sendiri tambah.

Observed from the receipt, they also have Pork Leg Vinegar, Pig Trotter, Chicken feet, Pepper Pork Stripe Soup, Steamed Fish, Otak-Otak and vegetables.

Will definitely come back to try their steamed fish as we saw many people having steamed fish.

Smoke Gets In Your Eyes!

Yesterday afternoon, as we were going out to buy some stuffs for Balik Kampung.....we were "ambushed" by a lot of smoke..which reminds me of a song...

They asked me how I knew My true love was true Oh, I of course replied Something here inside cannot be denied They said someday you'll find All who love are blind Oh, when your heart's on fire You must realize Smoke gets in your eyes...

Huh? why so much smoke coming from the Guard House area geh? Guard House on fire ah?



Got Bomba wor. First time I see fire. Oh...the not so empty field which is the home to many insects, creepy crawlies and MOSQUITOES is on fire!

Hmm...wonder how this place caught fire. Must be those boys playing firecrackers. Mamarazzi been hearing a lot of BOOM! BANG! BOOM! BANG! sound for the past week. Day time, night time the same. Sometimes made me terkejut in the middle of the night. Thought the Authourity had banned Firecrackers...but how come...??...Haiz.. that is another matter to ponder.

Though the fires are small, but there are many of them. Here, here and here..

Haiz...apa tidaknya..this field have been turn into unofficial rubbish dump by some irresponsible people.

I guess, there is a bright side to this fire. At least,no mosquitoes came to bite me last night. See, how the bad mosquitoes bite my cute face the other day. Till now still red like pimple.

Aunty Florence, Thank you very much for the baju, socks and pants that you bought for me. It's a bit big but I'm sure that I will grow into it very soon. However, I think for the pants...we'll just have to wait a year or two.

I can use this Sword to poke Papa.

Baby Contest at Tesco Mutiara Damansara

The other day we went to Tesco Mutiara Damansara. Found that they are having Baby&Child Photo Contest. Buy above RM50, get to take photo for free and you can enter the photo for the contest. Mamarazzi not sure whether other Tesco branch is also doing this promotion or not.


Wah...they put out so many baju and toys for baby to have their photo taken with.


Here is my photo. Mamarazzi didn't enter my photo for the contest. Said am old man already wor. Oh..sorry ya coz Mamarazzi unable to scan the photo in. Just snap again using her handphone camera.

I Love Maggi

*Korek*korek*korek* No more Maggi Noodles ah?

I love noodles and the easiest to cook is Maggi Instant Noodles.Just look closely at the above video. Look at how fast I can slurrrrrp up the noodle. Eh...Maggi going to sponsor me some more noodle or not?

Bitter Gourd or Flower?

Hmmm...Mamarazzi is experimenting again.

She saw somewhere this thing about stuffed Bitter Gourd. Something like Yong Tau Foo. They stuffed it with minced meat and mushroom. Mamarazzi improved the recipe a bit by adding carrot and Muk Yee(black fungus). Mixed with a bit of salt and pepper. Stuff into slices of Bitter Gourd and steam for 10 minutes.


Oppps....kinda over cooked coz Mamarazzi "terlupa" and it was steamed for 20mins.




Ngap! Overcooked but still nice. Mamarazzi shouldn't add any more gravy as it tasted good enough as it is.

Empress by Shan Sa From BookXcess

Sleepy ah...Whose fault is it? Mamarazzi loh. Who else. Mamarazzi was burning midnight oil again.

A few weeks ago, she got this book from BookXcess. This book is about a little girl who grew up to be Emperor. Ya...though the title is Empress but her highest post was as an Emperor. Most of the people misunderstood her and called her the Dragon Lady and think of her as an evil woman.

In this book she was portrayed as a nice lady who did what she had to do to survive. Even let herself be blamed for many things that she didn't do and not her fault. The ending is rather sad.

As I've said earlier, Mamarazzi got this book from BookXcess, if not mistaken it's RM17-90. If you want to get a copy, you've better run to BookXcess fast.

Complaint!

Aaahhh...I learn how to dig my nose liao. Am feeling much better today after vomiting for two days due to my BIG GIGI.

Tell you hor...Mamarazzi and Papa very bad. Bully me when I was sick.

Papa saw that I vomit vomit and poo poo watery. He told Mamarazzi NOT to give me drink MILK. *Sob*Sob*. Milk milk is my life leh. I was angry with Papa.

When I woke up, I was very very hungry. Mamarazzi gave me some biscuits to eat coz it's easy on the stomach. When Mamarazzi asked for a piece of biscuit, I gave her. When Papa asked for a piece of biscuit, I didn't give. Papa don't give me milk. I don't give Papa biscuit.

But later on, Papa pujuk me. Papa went out and bought Ribena. Let me drink Ribena. So I friend friend with Papa again.

Then I lay down on the floor and kissy the floor. Papa told me to get up coz he say the floor is cold and dirty. And that I am still sick sick. Cannot lay down on the flloor like that. I didn't listen to Papa.

Then I heard Mamarazzi talking to Papa. Mamarazzi said "Cham loh! Joshua boy very sick ah. He is so sick that he cannot get up from the floor! Must bring him to see Dr Surinder liao and jab-jab his bum-bum!"

Hearing that, I stood up straightaway to show that I am not sick and I don't want jab-jab.

Papa and Mamarazzi saw me stood up and they laughed. Bad bad Mamarazzi bully me! Used scare tactic! Tak Aci! I merajuk liao! Sampai hati Mamarazzi bully me like that! I am a very good boy wor.

Just the other day I helped Mamarazzi. She was watching TV. The show was very kan cheong. I was running about and ter-bumped into my bamboo chair. Ter-vomit a bit of water on the chair. Seeing Mamarazzi was engrossed with the show, I went and took a piece of tissue paper and wiped the vomit from the chair. Mamarazzi didn't even realise what I was doing till she saw me wiping the chair.

Hmph! I merajuk! Don't wanna friend Mamarazzi.
